BOOK DONATIONS
We accept just about any kind of book including hard cover, large and trade paperbacks and mass paperbacks. Also popular with patrons are DVDs and books-on-CD and comic books. Items not accepted are sets of encyclopedias and National Geographic magazines.
There are several ways to do this:
- Currently there is a donations bin (clearly marked) inside the front door of the library. Small donations can just go in the bin. If you have trouble locating the donation bin, please ask at the library front desk.
- If you have a large donation, contact us or give us a call @ 707-253-4614 and we will meet you by appointment and accept the books.
- If you are unable to get the books to us we have a volunteer who sometimes can go and collect them… but this option is really a last resort.
MONETARY DONATIONS
The funds we raise by selling donated books and other materials support various programs at the Napa County Library. Examples of these programs can be found on our About Page. If you are interested in supporting the library and its programs through the Friends of the Library but don’t have any books to donate or if you want to do more than donate books to sell, we encourage you to make a monetary donation. We appreciate any and all donations and encourage members and non-members alike to help us with our mission to enhance the public’s experience at the Napa library. And it is so easy… just click on the Make a Monetary Donation button on the right hand side of any page on our site.
